Vocalist, composer, and arranger Ona Kirei celebrates her album release, joined by La Lucha, James Suggs, and Mike diRubbo.
Ona Kirei is a vocalist, composer, and arranger from Barcelona, and is currently living and working in the Tampa Bay Area.
She has been awarded several awards such as first place in the International Talavera Jazz Contest, and first place in ‘Actúa!’, a music competition as part of the Spanish national radio station ‘Cadena Ser’.
Kirei has performed across Europe in countries such as Spain, France, and the UK, as well as important European festivals including the Getxo Jazz Festival (Getxo, Spain) and the Jazz Ladies Festival (Bourdeaux, France). Ona can also be heard in the Tampa Bay Area and Orlando in venues like Pilars Martini (Winter Garden) and the Palladium (St. Petersburg) singing with some of the most notable musicians on the scene.
