Two great jazz shows, a soulful strut and a CD release, are coming to the Side Door this weekend

We’ve got two nights of great jazz coming up this weekend in the Side Door and more on the way.

On Friday, Jeremy Carter,  everybody’s favorite sax player, is back with another jazzy tribute to great soul standards. He’s calling this one: Daydreaming: Soul Jazz with Jeremy Carter.

Jeremy and his “Rubber Band” will explore songs by Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, James Brown, Stevie Wonder and other pioneering artists from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Joining Jeremy will be: Nathan Mitchell-piano; Xavier Chisholm-Bass; and Caleb Sanders-drums. Jeremy’s last jazz meets soul concert sold out so get your tickets early for this one.

For tickets and more information about Jeremy’s show on Friday, Jan. 31 you can call our box office at 727-822-3590 or follow this link for on-line tickets and info.

On Saturday night we’ll be celebrating a CD release by a long-standing favorite on the Tampa Bay jazz scene, Linda Nash. A flautist and vocalist, Linda was sidelined by illness for a long time but she’s back with a fresh new album and a great band, that includes her husband, Glenn Stevenson, on bass.
