The four-day Sunscreen Film Festival is coming to the beautiful Palladium Theater this Thursday, May 1 for its opening day films and its opening night celebration.
The highlight of opening day is the film “Confessions of a Womanizer,” starring Nicole Bella and John Cena. Bella and Cena, along with other WWE Superstars will make appearances as part of the opening night festivities at the Palladium.
The festival is dedicated to educating the public about the art of visual storytelling, enhancing opportunities for local filmmakers to develop their craft and art, and increasing the public’s awareness and support of local filmmaking as a cultural and economic asset.
The Sunscreen Film Festival is organized and presented by the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Film Society, a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization. It has grown from its first festival in a local art gallery with 600 attendees in 2006 to an internationally recognized event with an attendance of over 15,000 people in 2012. It was one of only 23 film festivals sponsored by the academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the Oscars) in 2013 and was named Best Film Fest by Tampa Bay Magazine in 2012.

Along with the Palladium. the festival will use other St. Pete venues including American Stage, the Dali Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, and Studio@620.
