Scary silent movies, a live jazz score, dancing downstairs, and a movie star – it’s La Luchaween at the Palladium

This Saturday we’re bringing a night of scary fun for the entire family (except maybe some very young kids who might get too frightened), when La Luchaween comes to the Palladium, which everyone knows is haunted.

Here’s how our pal, Bill DeYoung, described La Luchaween in this week’s St. Pete Catalyst:

“La Lucha, St. Pete’s venerable, envelope-pushing jazz trio, is at the Palladium Theater Saturday with the annual La Luchaween show, in which the group plays live music to accompany classic horror flick scenes onscreen. St. Pete actress Eugenie Bondurant, who’s become something of a scream queen with her recent film and TV work, will host … and things move downstairs to the Side Door after the main event, where Boho Sideshow will provide additional tuneage, for dancing (or dramatizing). Halloween dress is encouraged.”

We’ve turned the lobby into a giant spider’s web and added a dance floor in the Side Door for the after-party.

The silent films, with live accompaniment, will run for about an hour, then the party moves downstairs for dancing to BoHo Sideshow.

Tickets and more information on this one-of-a-kind event, is at www.mypalladium.org.

Get your costume together, wear some comfortable dancing shoes, and join us this Saturday at 8.
