Palladium is dark for some very cool improvements

We’ll still be selling tickets next week, but there are no shows and no staff in the building until after Labor Day, as workers install some much-needed new A/C chillers.

Our AC system, which was installed in 2008, has been struggling for a while, as our audience members and staff know first-hand. We’ve had some occasional warm nights in the Side Door and Hough Hall as the system has struggled.

During our sold-out Watkins Glen show last Saturday the chillers were working at 50 percent and Hough Hall was warm.

This complete system replacement should guarantee that our two venues stay cool even during they hottest shows!

I’m also excited to report that we have two new dance floors in the Side Door.  The floors were installed earlier this summer and we’ve had a few good test runs — like our recent Road To Nowhere show, where the music of the Talking Heads kept the dance floors full. More improvements are coming, and I’ll tell you about them here.

Tickets for upcoming shows are available on myPalladium.org or by calling (727) 822-3590.

The Box Office will reopen to the public Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 12pm.

We look forward to seeing you then!
