Palladium: A new season and a new experience

For tickets and detailed information on shows currently on sale click here.

The Palladium’s new season kicked off last weekend with a shimmering production of Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. A great cast, a lyrical score built around waltz times and a tear-inducing rendition of “Send In The Clowns.”

We’re happy to have St. Petersburg Opera (www.stpeteopera.org) presenting two more full productions this season – Rigoletto in January and Madama Butterfly in June.

We’re also proud to be the home venue for a new musical theater company, The New American Theater (www.newamericantheater.org), which will debut with the down-home musical, Pump Boys and Dinettes, starting Oct. 1. Their season also features A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, in February,  Songs for a New World, in April, and  The Putnam County Spelling Bee in June.

In January we’re presenting the Buglisi Dance Theater, one of New York’s finest companies, featuring St. Petersburg’s own, Helen Hansen French. Last year’s big hit, The Boogie Woogie/Blues Piano Stomp, returns with some exciting new players, plus the legendary Bob Seeley. If you haven’t heard Bob, don’t miss this show.

Our   Encore Chamber Series also returns in February and March and will end with a Sunday matinee  special performance from Sarasota’s  La Musica Chamber Festival.

We will also be showing off our new sound system in Hough Hall. The state-of-the-art system will enhance everyone’s listening experience. It should be in place in early October.

For a sampling of what’s coming, see the list below or check our website (www.mypalladium.org).
