Meet some fun Palladium audience members who are all anxious for the shows to return

During this time when the Palladium family is not together at the theater, I wanted to bring us together online by featuring some of the audience members who enjoy the concerts and special.

We asked patrons to fill out a questionnaire. We’ll be sharing stories from all the folks who replied.

If you want to be included in this series, just drop me a note at wilborn.paul@spcollege.edu.

And we hope to see everyone back in the theater later this summer.

We are so grateful for your support. In a few words, tell us why you choose to attend shows at the Palladium?

I live nearby the Palladium and find the variety of its presentations to be wonderful. Because it is so close, I am likely to try to see a performance I think might be interesting even if I am not familiar with the artist.

One of the first performances I saw was a concert of Blues harmonica players. I went suspecting some variants on Stephen Foster, but instead experienced a wonderful display of art and the Blues. Blew me away.  I’ve also been introduced to Nate Najar and James Suggs who always astound me with what they can make their instruments produce.

What one fun thing would you like to tell us about yourself that we might not know about you?

I am enjoying being a grandparent.

I attend shows at the Palladium because I like the venue, the acoustics, the atmosphere and the people – always so friendly!

How many years have you been seeing shows at the Palladium?

I’ve been coming up to St. Pete every year since 2014 to see one show – a front row seat to Chris MacDonald’s Memories of Elvis! I attend every February. Always a fun time, makes me so happy. I drive up from Naples, and stay at the Hollander Hotel (slow a great place!)

We are so grateful for your support. In a few words, tell us why you choose to attend shows at the Palladium?

Through the years I have attended holiday events, some of the bands, and really enjoyed the time last year they showed a Hallmark Movie while it was being aired on TV, plus had the local actors in the audience.  That was really special!  I like the idea of having local talent in the area.  I am born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida.
