Make 2015 a Summer of Love by flashing back to the ’60s on Saturday with Monday Monday

Even if you missed the Summer of Love, you can take a trip back there this weekend at the Palladium. We’re featuring the band Monday Monday in concert on Saturday night at 8 in our main hall. And judging by the brisk ticket sales, folks are ready for a flashback this weekend.

mondaymonday-events-061815Some of the bay area’s most talented singers and musicians are featured in the group – Ed Woltil is hands-down the area’s best pop songwriter, and a great singer and guitarist. Liz Hollister has long been a staple of the music scene – known for her shimmering voice and her knack for great harmony singing – and for basically being beautiful. They have partnered with Michael Taylor-Powers and Cindy Campione, as the front line vocalists, plus John DeBellis on bass and Tommy Kennedy on drums.

The band has built a strong follow for their versions of the Mamas and Papas catalog, but they also add other great songs from the ’60s folk-rock era. And the shows bring back a little of the fun and craziness of the era.

Feel free to break out the beads and bell bottoms for a great night at the Palladium. I’ll see you there!
