Nate Najar is back June 17th with a “Swing Trio,” featuring two of jazz’s top sidemen

We’ve got a very special jazz concert coming up in the Side Door on June 17th. Our own Nate Najar is back with two of the best side men in the business – clarinetist Dan Levinson, and bassist Tommy Cecil. Nate’s calling this his “Swing Trio” and I can guarantee this show is going to swing hard.

Levinson was here once before and I was knocked out by his playing. He’s a regular member of Vince Giordano’s Nighthawks, New York’s preeminent “early jazz” orchestra. And he’s played with Mel Torme, Wynton Marsalis, Dick Hyman and Woody Allen.

Tommy Cecil has also been here before, coming down from his home base in Washington, D.C.  He’s a quiet storm on the bass and has backed up dozens of top jazz bandleaders including Mose Allison, Tommy Flanagan and Joe Henderson.

The show was featured in this month’s edition of the DuPont Registry. Here’s what they said: “Acclaimed guitarist Nate Najar, Dan Levinson and Tommy Cecil deliver melody, rhythm and harmony both inventive and ingenious.”

Looking forward to seeing you at this show. For tickets and information call our box office at 727-822-3590 or follow this link for on-line tickets and info.
