OK, I’m not in the demographic for Buffy The Vampire Slayer. But that didn’t stop me from LOVING last year’s Buffyfest. And I’m so excited about the even bigger return of Buffyfest in 2018 that I might have to go out and drive a stake through someone’s vampire heart.
It’s that big.
Not only is the band bigger (The Florida Bjorkestra cannot be contained!), so are the stars. This time around we’re welcoming two of the biggest names from the show: Emma Caulfield and Nicholas Brendon. And our Buffy marketplace, The Bronze, will have more art and more exhibits from local artists and fans.
Plus – PUPPETS! Yes, a live puppet show, projected on the Palladium’s big screen, will help fans follow the story of Buffy’s musical fantasy – Once More With Feeling. The Bjorkestra, led by Jeremy Douglass and featuring Palladium favorites like Colleen Cherry, Whitney James and James Suggs, will also be performing songs done by guests on the show. And did I mention the on-site BLOODMOBILE? And the blood-colored beer?
So even if you weren’t there for the Buffy series, you’ll love Buffyfest. Tickets are going quickly this week, so don’t miss out. You can call the Palladium box office at 727-822-3590 but better yet, just follow this link for on-line tickets and information. And follow The Florida Bjorkestra on your favorite social media platform for updates.
The Bjorkestra was in the house for a big rehearsal last night. I’m sharing some shots in this blog.
If you missed last year’s Buffyfest, or the incredible Bjorkestra tribute to the music of Madonna and George Michael, last spring, you need to join me this weekend at the Palladium. You won’t regret it. Unless you get bit or slayed, or just generally vampirized.
It could happen…
