We are excited to announce the St. Petersburg College Community Concert Band and Community Wind Symphony’s Spring Concert, featuring four incredible guest soloists!
- Max Bygrave, a talented member of our Wind Symphony, will perform “Horn of Brian Balmages Pele”.
- Patrick Meighan, esteemed Professor Emeritus at Florida State University, will join us to perform “Apollo” by Brian Balmages for soprano sax and Wind Ensemble.
- Outstanding local jazz artist James Suggs will be featured as the solo trumpet on “Ballad” by Christopher Teichler.
- Kyle Collins, an SPC alumnus and current Wind Symphony member, will dazzle with “Golden Age of the Xylophone”, arranged by Floyd Werle.
In addition to these amazing solos, the SPC Bands will perform music from iconic composers such as Brahms, Gershwin, and Bernstein, and showcase the epic piece “Horror Vacui” by David Perkins.
This special concert is free and will take place on Thursday, April 3rd, starting at 7:30 PM at the Palladium Theater in Downtown St. Petersburg.
