One City Chorus is back at the Palladium for another afternoon of soul-filling, rafter-rocking, uplifting music. Our eighty voice chorus sings songs of social justice, civil rights, equality and diversity.
About One City Chorus
creating community together in song…
One City Chorus was founded in the fall of 2016 with the belief that singing in a group builds community and leads to better understanding among people. The chorus seeks to make the world a better place by singing songs about social justice, civil rights, diversity and equality. We encourage people of all races, cultures, creeds and communities to sing with us. We have NO auditions! We meet on Mondays at 7:00 PM at the Woodson African American Museum of Florida at 2240 9th Avenue S in St Petersburg, Florida.
Highlights of our first few years together have included singing at First Night St.Pete for three years in a row, singing for 7000 people at the FAST Action at Tropicana Field, singing at St. Pete’s powerful Women’s March and Rally, and receiving standing ovations every year at our annual concerts at the Palladium Theater.
Our performances have been described as “joyous, uplifting and beautifully sung” by Creative Loafing Newspaper who honored us with a Best of the Bay Award for “Best Voices Raised Together in Song.”
Presented by One City Chorus.
