A night of swinging jazz with Grammy-nominated pianist/vocalist Judy Carmichael sharing the stage with Nate Najar on acoustic guitar. Judy is one of the world’s leading interpreters of stride piano and swing. Count Basie nicknamed her “Stride,” acknowledging the command with which she plays this technically and physically demanding jazz piano style. Judy’s vocals range from Peggy Lee-inspired standards, to humorous takes on Fats Waller tunes. The New York Times called Judy “astounding, flawless, and captivating.” And Nate calls her a cross between “Katherine Hepburn, Blossom Dearie, and Art Tatum.”
