In honor of Jazz Appreciation Month, this concert features an all-star group led by Miami-based award-winning pianist/composer Dr. Zachary Bartholomew. Zach’s virtuosity, musical creativity, and fun energy has made him a fan favorite of audiences throughout all parts of the Sunshine State and his diverse musical repertoire makes every concert a once in-a-lifetime experience. This show will feature arrangements of jazz standards as well as Zach’s original compositions that draw from influences ranging from straight-ahead jazz, Afro-Cuban, and Bossa nova to fusion, rock, and classical music. Hear the stories behind the compositions directly from the composer and enjoy a night of world-class music! Joining Zach will be Marty Quinn, bass; Max Marsillo, drums; David Fernandez, saxophone.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, original poetry will be presented by St. Petersburg’s own Poet Laureate, Gloria Muñoz, a teacher, lyricist and author of “Danzirly” (pronounced Dawn’s Early) which has won multiple number awards.
