An unforgettable night of Blues, R&B, boogie woogie, and comedy is coming to St. Petersburg as internationally known blues artist Steve Arvey joins forces with the legendary Reverend Billy C. Wirtz and band for a high-energy performance in the Palladium Side Door.
This special concert brings together musicians deeply rooted in the traditions of Blues and Rhythm & Blues. Both Reverend Billy and Steve Arvey have spent decades performing with legendary artists and preserving the spirit and history of American roots music through their live performances and recordings.
Chicago-born guitarist, singer, and songwriter Steve Arvey is known internationally for his powerful slide guitar work, cigar box guitar performances, and unique “Mississippi Delta Funk” sound. Arvey has toured extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand and has shared stages with many legendary blues performers throughout his career.
Reverend Billy C. Wirtz has long been celebrated not only for his masterful piano playing and deep understanding of vintage Blues, R&B, and boogie woogie traditions, but also as a brilliant comedian and entertainer. His sharp humor, colorful storytelling, and energetic stage presence have made him a longtime favorite among roots music fans across the country.
Joining the performance will be acclaimed musicians Anne Van Atta on bass and Sandi Greco on drums, creating a powerhouse rhythm section for an evening filled with classic grooves, deep blues, humor, improvisation, and authentic American music traditions.
