I’m thrilled that my friend Cynthia Gries is bringing her famed Entertainment Revue to the Palladium for two holiday shows this coming Saturday (Dec. 14).
Chances are you’ve seen the talented young girls from Entertainment Revue at a charity function, or a major sports event. Entertainment Revue has produced five American Idol finalists and eight major recording artists. The group has performed extensively throughout the Southeast. The cast, often referred to as “the original glee club”, delivers high energy performance with spectacular holiday costuming.
Saturday’s shows will take the audience through a variety of Christmas experiences from a Big City Christmas to a Down Home Country Christmas and will cover musical styles ranging from Rock and Roll to traditional holiday classics. This show aimed at audiences of all ages.
These girls are the all-star performers in the Tampa Bay area. The best of the best. You only become a member of Entertainment Revue by auditioning, Cynthia stresses. It’s not a “school” but a performing arts group of the highest caliber.
The group is usually hired to perform at major events, but Cynthia had wanted to do something in a theater.
“Our idea to bring our show to a theater and have the audience come to us,” she said. “ We wanted to put on a show in a controlled environment with sets and lights. And we fell in love with the Palladium.”
You can see the show for yourself – and bring the kids and grand kids – this Saturday at 10 a.m. and noon. The show is called Christmas Kaleidoscope and it’s filled with holiday singing and dancing.
