Don’t miss Sunday’s Life On Venus: Music of Bowie and Bjork with the 18-piece Florida Bjorkestra!

I got to hear a preview of our Bjork-Bowie show coming up on Sunday. The 18-piece (!) Florida Bjorkestra gathered on our main stage Monday night for a rehearsal and sound check. it took a while to get everybody mixed, but once they started playing it was magical.

This is clearly a don’t miss show. Some of the Palladium’s favorite jazz stars are in the band including:  James Suggs, Austin Vickrey, LaRue Nickelson, and Whitney James. Featured vocalists are Jamie Perlow and Colleen Cherry. There are six backup singers, three string players, three horns, vibes, piano and a full rhythm section. It’s all lead and orchestrated by Jeremy Douglass, who led the sold-out Peter Gabriel-Tori Amos show earlier this year.

The band has grown so large, and we had to turn so many people away last time, we’ve moved the show up to Hough Hall. More on this show later this week in this blog. It sounds amazing in our big room and all the aisles are available for dancing.

Don’t miss it. You can get online tickets by following this link or call our box office at 727 302-6870.
