Stan Hunter, the great pianist and B3 player, landed in the hospital this week and won’t be out in time for tonight’s show in the Side Door. But his wife Pam thinks one way to get Stan feeling better is for the show to go on. We’re going to be skyping the show directly to his hospital room.
And there will be no shortage of talent tonight. Stan’s son-in-law, Patrick Bettison, is bringing in a great quartet that includes LaRue Nickelson (guitar), Alejandro Arenas (bass) and Joe Bencomo (drums). Patrick will play both piano and harmonica.
They band will be doing some of Stan’s original compositions and lots of his favorite jazz standards.
Please join us in the Side Door tonight and be part of the concert we’re sending as a “get well soon” wish directly to Stan’s hospital room.
For tickets and information visit our box office online or pick up tickets tonight at the door. The show starts at 7:30.
