Don’t call Nate Najar a “local” musician. He’s a jazz artist who lives in St. Petersburg. And along with home based gigs at the Palladium, Nate and his guitar regularly tour the east and west coasts and other markets that are discovering his talents.
Recently, Nate has been working in England and a bit on the continent. He’s just back from a tour that most of here followed through his Facebook posts. Since this was Nate, most of the posts were not about music or gigs, but about the food he was eating at each stop along the way.
To hear more stories about food, music and his reception across the pond, come down to the Side Door this Saturday night for Nate and his trio, which features Alejandro Arenas on bass and the great Orlando drummer, Ed Metz.
Maybe he’ll even play a few songs! Okay, he’ll play a lot of songs. He’s doing two sets in the intimate Side Door. I’ll be there and I hope to see you Saturday night.
