St. Pete Jazz Festival returns to the Palladium with five shows starting Wednesday

I always start my Monday checking on ticket sales for upcoming shows, and what struck me was how few tickets are remaining for the five nights of the St. Petersburg Jazz Festival that opens this Wednesday, Feb. 21.

Four of the shows are in the intimate Side Door, which means tickets are already limited. There’s more room at the Saturday night show in Hough Hall with the Helios Big Band and vocalists Whitney James and Chuck Wansley, but that is the strongest selling show of the festival.

Festival organizer, Dr. David Manson, has again put together a diverse week of jazz, that includes Side Door shows with the award-winning Israeli pianist, Tal Cohen, sax star Jeff Rupert, our favorite Hammond B3 player, Shawn Brown (playing the Palladium’s own B3!), Latin Jazz pianist Gabriel Hernandez, along with the Helios show upstairs.

If you want to see some of these artists in action on video, just follow this link.

Tickets are being sold individually for each show, so follow this link for on-line tickets or call 727-822-3590 to pick your show. And don’t wait for show down, get your tickets now while we still have some!
